Long ago, in the 80s, I came across a Dungeons & Dragons starter set at a garage sale. I was much too young to understand the bewildering rules and awkward looking dice. Instead, at that young age, I had my mother purchase the board game HeroQuest for me. It was not until after watching the first episode of Stranger Things that I said to myself, “So that’s how you play it!” Immediately after that shocking revelation, I threw myself into learning how to DM. With the help of Critical Role and the player’s handbook, I studied and observed until I was ready to launch my first campaign. I went all in. I enjoyed making minis, building small landscapes, and going so far as building a gaming table with a embedded television for digital maps. It found that D&D brings me immense pleasure. I found that DMing for you all is my most favorite.
